Morley's Final Catalogue: Generally distributed, frequent in sylvan places, often at light: from Bentley Woods through Monks Soham at light in August, to Fritton and Gorleston (Mr).

Recent Suffolk Status: Common.

Life history: Double-brooded. frequently seen flying at dusk as well as coming to light. Larvae have been located at night on low-growing plants.

Identification: Unmistakeable.

Habitat: Various habitats including gardens.

Recorded in 56 (97%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1940.
Last Recorded in 2024.
